	Guidelines for Visa Applicants Working Hours: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Monday to Fridays. Visa Fees The following fees are payable with effect from 1st September 2006. Multiple Entry Visas - AU$160.00 Single Entry Visas - AU$100.00 Transit Visa (Single Entry) - AU$60.00 Transit Visa (Multiple Entries) - AU$40.00 Express Visa (Additional) - AU$40.00 Processing Time Visas will be issued in 48 hrs Mode of Payment Payments should be made by Cash, Money Order or Postal Order.

	Validity and Residence Period A single entry visa is valid for entry into Ghana within three months, i.e. the visa expires if not used to travel within three months from the date of issue. However, the actual period permitted to stay in Ghana shall be as endorsed by Ghana Immigration Service at the point of entry into Ghana. Special Note for Multiple Entry Applicants Multiple entry visa endorsed for six months means that the applicant is granted unlimited entries into Ghana within six (6) months of date of issue of the visa. It does not entitle the applicant to enter and remain in Ghana for six months. On each entry into Ghana, the period of permitted stay will be endorsed by the Ghana Immigration service at the point of entry.

	Requirements for Visa Applicants 1. Should have a valid Passport with expiry date of at least Six (6) months 2. Should submit - One set of Application Forms (In Quadruplicate) a) Fully completed in BLOCK CAPITALS b) Four (4) Recent Passport-Sized Photographs. c) An International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever d) A Return Air Ticket or Flight Itinerary PLEASE NOTE THAT INCOMPLETE FORMS & INCORRECT INFORMATION WILL RENDER YOUR APPLICATION FOR PERMIT/VISA VOID

	Types of Visas
	Business Visas Should be submitted with a letter from your Firm guaranteeing your stay in Ghana and stating the reasons for your visit. Two (2) References are required. Please supply the Names and Addresses of your Business Associates and their Companies as your references in Ghana. A Hotel may be used only as a second reference. The Consular Officer reserves the right to demand a letter of guarantee from your business associates in Ghana. Visitors/Tourist Visas Names and addresses of Two (2) References are required, one of which can be the Hotel where you will be lodging. Study Visas Should be accompanied by a letter from your College Administrator stating the reasons for your visit and your financial means whilst in Ghana. You should provide a Letter of Acceptance from the Institution to which you will be attached to during your practical training in Ghana. Please use the name and address of the Institution in Ghana as your reference in Ghana. Employment Visas Should be submitted with an Employment Contract, and proof of grant of Employment Quota in Ghana. Two (2) References are required, one of which should be the company or organisation you will be working for whilst in Ghana. Children Traveling on Parents Passports Should submit Four (4) Recent Passport-Sized Photographs. The Names and Dates of Birth of the children should be entered on the appropriate section of the Application forms of the Accompanying Parent. Separate fees as above are payable per child. Visas by Post (Registered Mail Only) Visa applications by post will be accepted and processed only if sent by courier or registered mail and all relevant documents are enclosed (see above). A return courier service fully paid for or a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope should be provided by the applicants if they wish to have their documents sent back to them either by courier or registered mail. Visas by Post are not considered as priority and can take up to a week to process depending on the number of Applicants. APPLICATION FORMS CAN BE COLLECTED FROM THE EMBASSY OR DOWNLOADED FROM THIS SITE.
